‘Hide & Seek’ Weekender
This is the Riverside Terrace of the Royal Festival Hall, which as mentioned before, is so much more than a classy concert venue. The venue is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to make the most of its public spaces, especially throughout the summer.
This event, the Hide & Seek weekender in 2012 plugged in to the current enthusiasm for games (of the non-digital variety), the discovery amongst Millennials that it is possible to enjoy yourself taking part in (updated and creative versions, naturally) of the sort of activities eschewed in your childhood.
You may wonder what these dramatic silhouettes have to do with ‘Play’ – it turns out these are performers are from Stillmotion taking unsuspecting bystanders by surprise as they perform their abstract interpretation of hop-scotch around the public areas before holding workshops with enthusiastic participants of all ages (like they did here in Edinburgh).
